We have gained rather a large amount of information about the name Lawrence through our family researches, and thought it may be a useful resource for other people who are researching their Lawrence / Laurence / Larance (and variations) family in this area.

If you are looking for one of your Lawrence family members, please note that not all families and individuals have been accounted for or recorded yet. Please keep checking this site, we will be updating it at regular intervals as we gain more data. 

At the moment, much of our data refers to Ash and Woodnesborough, but we hope to extend this to cover an area roughly defined as a triangle between Thanet, Canterbury and Dover. The reason for this fairly wide area is that many of the Lawrence families moved around over the generations, and we are trying to track them and work out who belongs to who (and which ones are 'ours'!)

If you find anything that appears to relate to your family, please check the original source yourself - don't take our word for it, transcription errors occur, and some of the writing is fiendishly difficult to decipher. We have tried to include as much detail as we can on our sources so you can also find them.
